The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hon Charles Owiredu has called for more security reforms to make security more effective and very accessible to end abuses on human rights across the globe.

Speaking at the launch of the 75th United Nations Day anniversary celebration at the Accra International Conference Centre today, the minister indicated that the current government is paying much attention to ensure that the rights of humans irrespective of the gender is not abused.

He said the president is also ensuring that the country is peaceful and the rule of law is respected too.

The effectiveness of women involvement in governance and women empowerment is also the hallmark of this government, and as such all countries under the UN must make it a point to ensure there is fairness, equity and enough security to make the world a better place for all.
