The Hon. Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has been scheduled to appear in Parliament come next week Monday 29th July, 2019 to present the mid-year budget for the year 2019.

This pronouncement came up this morning when Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu was presenting the business statement and government business for next week.

In an interview with Hon. Deputy Minister for Finance, Abena Osei Asare on what exactly Ghanaians must expect, she said as the Public Finance Management Act requires the Minister to present to Ghanaians, for having a fair idea on how the government has been able to generate and expend revenue made in the year, as it was presented in the annual financial budget statement.

Ms. Abena explained that, the Minister will account on every revenue the government has generated and those it has used through government coffers.

She said, it is expected to let Ghanaian know all works done our road network and it’s contractors issues.

Hon Deputy Minister concluded that, Ghanaians should not worry about anything since government is spending judiciously in making sure that, the state purse is properly protected and follow exactly what the government presented to Ghanaians in the annual financial budget statement for this year.
