The government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has launched SME and Site Development Grant Scheme with an initial $ 9million dollars to support the Tourism industry in this time of the COVID-19 season.

The grant is to help support the tourism sector survive within this coronavirus era and improve on the industry’s development agenda.

Speaking to journalist after the official launch of the grant scheme at the Information Ministry in Accra, the Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng Gyasi stressed that, this grant has come in the right time to support the sector during this hard time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She added that, the sector is one of the hardest hit industry as far as the pandemic is concern and believe this grant will help cushion the sector and it players to stand and develop as well.

Madam Oteng Gyasi also added that, the grant is available and can be accessed by all persons within the industry as she admonished them to make good use of the grant for it to be beneficial to the entire nation.
