Kennedy Boateng, a former West African Football Academy (WAFA) defender and Ghanaian international has said that he is ready for the resumption of the Austrian Second Division league after the league was halted for three months due to the world pandemic COVID-19.

In an interview with OmanFm1071.com, Boateng, who plies his trade with league leaders SV Ried noted that he is fully ready and looking forward to the game on 5th June 2020 against Lafnitz which would be the 20th week of the season as he told Ken.

The versatile Ghanaian defender believes that though the suspension may throw away some excitement, the quality of the game will not change.

“The quality of the game will not change because we love playing football and we were all waiting for the day to restart the game and now that the leaders have given the greenlight, we the players have to deliver”.

The former WAFA player used the occasion to caution and appealled to Ghanaians to continue to adhere strictly to the protocols of the COVID-19 so we can together drive away the virus.

His club SV Ried is leading the second tier league table with 45pts from 19 matches.
