The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North Constituency, Mrs Abena Druwaa Mensah has cut the sod for the construction of about 50 kilometre road in the Assin North Constituency of the Central Region.

In her remarks at the sod-cutting ceremony attended by chiefs and community members, Mrs Abena Druwaa Mensah said the road construction would improve movement of vehicles in the area.

“Today, we all heave a huge sigh of relief by the cutting of the sod to begin the construction of the Assin Bremang, Kushia and Kyiano Road,” she said.

She said the Assin Kyiano, Bremang, Kushia road project joined other road projects in the constituency which had been completed,

The Member of Parliament also added that, other road projects in the constituency like Assin Breku town road, Assin Akonfodi town roads among others will soon be awarded to contractors to begin work immediately.

She finally thanked President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwah for starting the “years of roads” project in her constituency and also applauded His Royal Majesty, Ahunabobrim Pra Agyensem, President Of Owirenkyiman Traditional Council who played Major role in lobbying for this road project.
