In a bid to provide good roads network to Ghanaians, the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through the Ministry of Roads and Highways declared 2020 as a year of roads which seeks to rehabilitate bad roads and construct new ones to help commuters get access to good roads across the country.

Sharing his delight about the year of roads agenda by the government the Member of Parliament for Offinso South constituency, Hon. Ben Abdellah Bandah, said the year of roads agenda by the government has seen over 80 kilometers road awarded to be constructed across his constituency.


Hon Ben Abdullah Bandah mentioned this when he visited ongoing works on 18 kilometers road at Offinso old town through to Ayensua Kokoo, Ayensua fufuo, Kokote, Amoawi, Namong to mention but few.


Hon. Ben Abdellah Bandah mentioned that due to the urgent need of the roads all the contractors are on site.

The Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Amoafah Atobi Yiadom who also joined the inspection shared his delight and mentioned that, the performance on roads by the President in his first term is unprecedented.

After the inspection of the roads, Ben Abdellah Bandah, Amoafah Atobi Yiadom and the some of local officials toured all the voters registration centres to see progress of work.


The second week of the registration exercise is currently going on in 14 centres in the constituency amid measures to observe all the covid 19 safety protocols.


After the monitoring Hon Ben Abdullah Bandah called on all eligible persons to go and register due to the important nature of exercise.


Hon. Abdellah Bandah mentioned that the process is so far good as all the necessary protocols are been followed by Electoral commission and citizenry.

The Constituency Chairman Mr. Amoafah Atobi Yiadom said they are anticipating the EC to register one hundred thousand eligible voters and so far over eleven thousand people have registered.
